“In a world of seven billion people, set to grow to nine billion by 2050, wasting food makes no sense – economically, environmentally and ethically, aside from the cost implications, all the land, water, fertilizers and labour needed to grow that food is wasted – not to mention the generation of greenhouse gas emissions produced by food decomposing on landfill and the transport of food that is ultimately thrown away.”
UN Under-Secretary-General and UNEP Executive Director Achim Steiner
At Leftovers of Love, we are turning leftovers into meals for the hungry and homeless in the San Diego community.
By donating the leftovers of your business events, parties, and any other gatherings which result in excess food that would typically go to waste, our homeless and other food insecure members of the community will be provided a meal.
With a few simple clicks, you can help feed those who need it the most at zero cost to you or your business.
